Had a Bad Day? Well, so did I

The phrase “having a bad day” doesn’t even begin to describe the day I had. I had decided, rather was forced, to break my normal routine of working in the comfort of my own home and go to my office. The reason being my laptop, which was working perfectly till the previous day. I was not prepared to drag myself off the bed earlier than usual and engage in a series of high-powered tasks and catch my usual cab.

And then it all started.

The cab services agent called to inform me that no cabs were available as I had put in the request very late. I thought fair enough. This was an emergency (sort of) and I did not expect them to help me at the last minute. After an elaborate and tedious search for a means of transport, I finally ubered myself to the office. The super-efficient IT guys did their magic and my laptop was finally fixed. A happy-go-lucky me began my journey back home when the sandal heels on my left foot decided to break away. I marched the long stretch from my office to the nearest cab point on my broken sandals, turning many heads than I would have normally.

I successfully hailed a cab and thought that it was the end of my misery. Well, life had many more surprises for me. My cab broke down midway and although the driver assured me that it will take only a minute, I knew better than that. After an excruciatingly painful 30 minutes…
